Multiplayer has been a key design element of the game from the start. Our entire architecture had to be carefully designed to allow for multiplayer functionality, without compromising the single player story. Because of that, multiplayer has never been taken out of the game by HPI, contrary to some reports, so no time has to be spent putting it back in.
Having said all that, we're curious as to how important multiplayer is as a feature, based on your posts. Let's turn this into an official website poll. We'd like to hear your responses to the following:
1) How important is multiplayer functionality to you in an RPG?
2) If multiplayer DID pose a delay to the game, would you prefer to see it released as a single player game with a multiplayer patch released later, or would you prefer we wait and release everything at once?
